Albuquerque International Balloon Festival

Albuquerque International Balloon Festival

This awesome annual event takes place in early October in Albuquerque New Mexico.

If you have never been to the Albuquerque International Balloon Festival, I would highly recommend it at least once in your life.

It takes place over nine thrilling days with over 500 hot air balloons participating.

The festival originally started in 1972 with just 13 balloons.

The event is the largest ballon festival in the world followed by the Grand Est Mondial Air in France.

Tour Of Elvis Presley’s home in Graceland

Tour Of Elvis Presley’s home in Graceland

In this post we give you a tour of Elvis Presley’s home in Graceland.

He was born Elvis Aaron Presley on January 8, 1935, in Tupelo, Mississippi. Elvis was known as The King Of Rock- n- Roll.

I had always wanted to visit Graceland ever since I was a little girl. One day we decided to take a road trip.

We found ourself’s at the Tennesse exit and decided to turn off! Whoop yee! Finally, I was going to see Elvis’s home

What an awesome trip! If you are an Elvis fan (who isn’t) I highly recommend stopping in Memphis Tennessee, home of Elvis Presley.

There are several different tours throughout Graceland. Giving you the opportunity to fully immerse yourself into the life and legacy of the King of Rock-n-Roll.

There was NO VIDEO recording allowed so I hope you enjoy the pictures.

We chose to take the Graceland Mansion and Elvis’ airplanes tour. We received this beautiful ticket as a memento.

The tour of Elvis’s Mansion is self-guided. They do give you an Ipad for the audio portions.

When you first arrive they take a picture of your group for a memento.

If you choose to take the tour of Elvis’s home you board a bus and head to the tour of “The Mansion” as they refer to it.

Here are a few pictures of the inside of “The Mansion”.

I hope you enjoy these pictures a I did.

It was an amazing house, complete with a “Jungle Room” and a private “Studio” and Stables.

Elvis also enjoyed riding horses.

Elvis Presley’s Airplane “Lise Marie”

Elvis adored his daughter Lisa Marie so much that he named his air plane after her.

August 18, 1977 Elvis Presley was buried at his Graceland Mansion

According to an ABC News report, Elvis’s funeral lasted over an hour and most of the crowd were young women.

Elvis arrived in a white hurst followed by ten white Cadillacs. Elvis loved Cadillacs.

Here a few pictures of the memorial at Elvis’s Graceland home.

Elvis’s Father “Vernon” and Mother “Gladys” are also buried here alongside of Elvis’s twin brother Jesse that died at birth.

This is a beautiful memorial garden for the Presley family.
